Cory Rossi (17u Assistant Coach, Catching Coordinator) – Coach Rossi is from Griffin, Ga and attended Griffin High school. He lettered 4 years in Baseball and Football and earned a scholarship to play at Young Harris Junior College. While at Young Harris Coach Rossi dealt with several injuries that caused him to have serious surgery that eventually led him to transfer to Gordon College. Lingering injuries forced Cory to hang up the cleats but his passion for the game never subsided. Cory coaches and mentors catchers and hitters in the BGA program. Coach Rossi is a Business Analyst for a dental insurance company and resides in Cumming, Ga with his beautiful wife Kristen, 3 year old Beckett, and twin 1 year old boys Maddox and Brayden.

Josh Froneberger (17u Assistant Coach, Pitching Coordinator) Born and raised in Atlanta, GA Josh graduated from Forest Park High School in 2004. Josh was a four year stand out starter on the Varsity baseball team playing short-stop and pitching as well. Josh’s talent granted him the opportunity to attend Alabama State University on a full Baseball Scholarship. While at (ASU) he started his freshman year on the mound and earned All SWAC team honors by posting a 10.9 k/9 innings, 121 strikeouts in a 93 innings clip, which led the NCAA at the time. Josh spent two years at (ASU) before transferring to Jackson State University where he graduated in 2010. Learning the nuances of the game of baseball at the college level really developed Josh’s knowledge of the game which in turn sparked his passion for coaching. Josh has been working with aspiring kids of all ages on the travel ball circuit for 6 years and he is responsible for the first 3 college signs the Baseball Genius Academy has had. Josh is also an educator, he teaches 2nd grade and loves imparting his wisdom to kids in the classroom as well as on the baseball field.

Patrick (PJ) Millet (16u Head Coach, Facility Manager)– Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, PJ Millet made baseball his passion at the young age of 4, while playing ball overseas in England. Coach Millet attended East St. John High School in Reserve, LA, where he earned a scholarship to Grambling State University. After graduating from GSU in 2008 PJ returned to Laplace, LA to give back to his community through the game he loved. PJ became a volunteered coach for the recreation league he played in called St. John the Baptist Parish.
His next coaching would come at the high school level as an assistant varsity coach for his high school Alma mater, East St. John High School. In 2013, PJ moved to Atlanta, where he was offered an opportunity to be a part of a an elite level travel ball coaching staff. PJ served as the hitting instructor, infield coordinator, and 17u first base coach. That year, the team had an overall 38-5-4 record and finished in the sweet 16 of the PG WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, FL.
Coach Millet is currently the B.G.A. Bombers 16U head coach, helping to build a solid foundation for the many hard working student-athletes we have. He also serves as the Facility Manager for the BGA Facility in Lovejoy, GA. PJ is an educator by day sharing his knowledge and experiences with young bright minds at the elementary level.

Shawn Payne (14u Head Caoch) – Born in Atlanta Ga. Shawn attended the prestigious Redan High School where he earned a scholarship to Middle Georgia College in 2009. While at Middle Georgia Shawn led his team to a Junior College World Series Birth. From Middle Georgia he earned an opportunity to play at the Division I level at Georgia Southern University in 2011. Upon his arrival the Eagles won their conference Championship and went on to compete in a College Regional. Shawn was drafted 3 times in 2009 to the Los Angels Dodgers, 2010 to the Kansas City Royals, and 2011 to the San Francisco Giants. Shawn brings a wealth of knowledge to the game from his experience and that helps him develop and prepare young players physically and mentally.


Brian Jones (13u Head Coach) -played baseball at Griffin High graduated in 1993 / played baseball at LaGrange College graduating in 1998 with BA in Criminal Justice. Obtained masters degree through Columbus State University. Currently a Sergeant at the Griffin Police Dept. with seventeen years experience. His wife is (Pepper) and two sons (Tristan and Evan).


Theodore Hassan (12u Head Coach) – coach Hassan is a coach that enjoys coaching and mentoring young players. I have coached and trained  players from ages 5-21 since 1994.
Theo played his college ball at Jackson State University 1987-1992. Drafted in 1992 by the Atlanta braves and also played with the Chicago White Sox. Coach Hassan specializes in pitching but is knowledgeable in aspect of the game of baseball. Coach Hassan has been married to his wife Michelle Hassan for 22 years, his oldest son Theodore Jr. just finished his college playing career at Jackson State University, his youngest son Nicholas Hassan is in his Sophomore year at Stonerock Christian High School.
